25% of users mixing work with pleasure

As increased remote working blurs the lines for many between work and home life, a report has revealed a potential security consequence. According to Techradar, a quarter of workers surveyed admitted to using work passwords for private accounts including dating sites, online shopping, and food delivery.

This reuse of passwords should worry businesses says Phil Richards, with data breaches and credential stuffing attacks potentially leaving enterprise systems vulnerable. Richards also suggests that businesses consider a Zero Trust approach to cybersecurity which could include password policies, security software and staff connecting via VPN.
